To fulfill our mission, the following goals are set:
1) To create green spaces throughout the entire Wildcat Creed Valley that protect land, provide public access and maintin the natural character of the valley.
2) To monitor compliance with environmental laws and regulations within the Wildcat Creek watershed.
3) To improve water quality throughout the Wildcat Creek watershed.
A little history...
The Foundation came into being in 1974 as a result of the collaborative efforts of LEAF (Lafayette Environmental Action Federation), the Wildcat Creek Association, and the Purdue Environ-mental Action group. The reasoning was that, in the midst of considerable activity on the part of these groups in combating the Lafayette Lake reservoir, an organization was needed to acquire and publicize public access sites/parks along the stream corridor.
