Land Protection Committee - pursues sites or acreages for possible acquisition.
Environmental Law Compliance Committee – monitors applications for construction and potential violations of the laws on construction or obstructions on the creek throughout the valley.
Water Quality Testing Committee - measures multiple water quality factors at periodic intervals at specific sites.

Foundation History
1974, April - Incorporated,
1974, September - Purchased Pathway Park on 800 E,
1977, March - Received tax exempt status, (Worked thru Izaac Walton League for accepting donations for projects prior to this time),
1977, April - Purchased First Wildcat Park from Everett Berninger,
1989, - Negotiated $1 year lease for 775E access, Mis So La Landing,
1991, September - Purchased Peters Mill 1 ½ acres from Rosemary Crismore, In the early 90's the Foundation shifted emphasis from park development to land trust activity and assumed the role of 'watchdog' over the creek enforcing the State Scenic and Natural Stream Act.
1995, Winter - Acquired a 12 acre site in Carroll County,
1995 - Obtained protective easement on Middle Fork, Carroll Baker Property in Clinton County,
1998, Fall - Acquired donated 5 acres in Carroll County from Iva Barnhart,
2001, September - Purchased the 36 acre Sixbey Preserve,
2003, Spring - Acquisition of donated protective easement on the proposed subdivision by Doug Mennen near 100N and the bridge over the creek,
2003, March - Embarked on projects of public information value, i.e. a symposium entitled "Conservation Easements: A Win-Win Opportunity",
2005, May - Acquisition of 24 acres of flood plain wooded land upstream of Historic Pyrmont Mill site to be known as Hoffman-McAllister Preserve, from Mary Sixbey.
2008 – additional 49 acres of cropland at Adams Mill Oxbow purchased; over 25,000 native trees planted; named the Adams Mill Oxbow Natural area
